Roughly 150 players were in attendance, with teams coming from Mungindi, Lightning Ridge, Collarenebri, Walgett and Brewarrina.
The event was the result of the Murdi Paaki Regional Rugby League Council Youth forum that identified a desire for more football for players under 12 years of age.
"This year has been really good for the Colly Bulldogs, but this carnival today has been the icing on the cake," Collarenebri Bulldogs president Chris Kirkland said.
This year the Bulldogs fielded their first ever Ladies League Tag side while the club’s first grade side made the semi-finals.
Kirkland was delighted to see older teenagers stepping up and helping run the club, and singled out Jayden Flick, Carl Mason and Jason Wright, who formed the Colly youth forum, for praise.
"Hopefully this can be a stepping stone for the future and more of these events can happen for the 8s, 10s and 12s,” he said.
