The Aces N Sevens x Plain Georgie gelding will make his 80th career start in the Group 1 Feeds Pace (2,260 metres).
Katsidis has made three starts this preparation, the best of which being a third place at Dubbo.
The gelding will search for a 13th career victory.
”He’s just on the way back up. He’s had a couple of runs now and his fitness is just starting to get there. He’ll run an honest race,” Hewitt said.
“He had a short campaign last prep in Melbourne. He ran well in his first start there where he ran a good third but he didn’t fire after that.
“He’s back now and we’re trying to get him back up to the level he was at before.”
Katsidis will go up against a strong field including Rebecca Brown’s Fat Prophet, who returns after more than two years without a race.
The American Ideal x Andaman gelding has had a solid career with 13 wins from 38 starts and finished second in a trial at Menangle on August 16.
Hewitt also has a strong chance of victory in the Reliance Two-Year-Old Pace (1730m) with three runners.
Ten Crystals goes from barrier one, while Trunkey Jack and Always Mysterious leave from seven and eight respectively.
Last start winner Allnight Milady will also line up in the Club Memberships Due Three-Year-Old Pace (1730m) for Hewitt.
Wednesday night’s eight-race meeting starts from 5.03pm with the last race at 8.40pm.
