Rebels take on Dubbo Demons in the elimination semi-final at George Park, a game that gives the Bushrangers club a chance to have both their senior sides finish inside the top three.

Rebels Co-coach Tom Regan expects a fired-up Demons outfit but said his team go into this game with a point to prove.

“They’ve had a good win over Cowra so their confidence will be up. We have to remind ourselves though: This is our home ground and we don’t lose here,” he said.

“We want an all-Bathurst grand final. We want to show who is the strongest club in Central West AFL.

“They’ve got a dominant midfield and some good leading runners in the forwards but I think we’ve got the troops to deal with that.”

This season’s head-to-head between the teams stands at one-all.

It’s a special moment for the club, said Regan.

“If someone told me that we’d have two sides make the finals then I would have been over the moon,” he said.
