It’s the third donation in three years from Heart Support Australia Dubbo branch to the cardiopulmonary rehabilitation unit.
The branch, dubbed Dubbo Cardiac Support Group, formed at the prompting of the unit’s staff.
President Rod Dawson said the support group members were people who had undertaken rehabilitation at the unit and their carers.
On Thursday morning he handed across $2136.58 for the purchase of equipment that will monitor overnight oxygen saturation levels.
Mr Dawson said the donation comprised $1000 from Regional Australia Bank’s community partnership program, $500 from the family of the late Bill Roberts and the proceeds of raffles.
“My word it certainly is special to be able to give something back,” the president said.
