Knaggs was added to the side a week out from the three-day carnival, after fellow Dubbo junior Henry Railz pulled out due to injury.
Despite a disappointing showing with the bat, Knaggs more than justified his selection with the ball.
He was particularly impressive in the Sixers’ second game of the carnival when he bowled 1/16, claiming the wicket of Metropolitan Sixers’ Jack Edwards and making a catch to dispose of Samuel Fanning.
Dubbo’s Marty Jeffrey spoke highly of his Country Sixers teammate.
“Ben definitely didn’t look out of place – he showed that he was up to that level,” Jeffrey said.
“He probably didn’t get the scores he would have liked but he definitely enjoyed the experience and I think he’ll be ready for a big season in Dubbo cricket.”
