The Dubbo College Senior Campus Year 12 students Sharik Burgess-Stride, Lucas Blattman, Shiv Ram, Bryce Cronin and Chayan Deb Nath, along with teacher John Miller, won second place at the 2016 4x4 Schools World Final in England.
The team finished second overall after coming second in the portfolio and pit display, research and design process and verbal presentation categories. They took out the top place for best engineered vehicle.
To thank all those involved in the achievement, the team held a morning tea, where they spoke about their time in the competition and shared photos from the event.
Supporters included fellow students, teachers, businesses and even politicians, who provided everything from advice to embroidery.
Sharik Burgess-Stride said without the sponsors, competing in the World 4x4 Finals never would have been possible.
