The Charmaine Roberts-trained dog ran third in 30.15 in Sunday’s night’s Ladbrokes Red Dog Bonus Stakes (516 m), finishing three-and-three-quarter-lengths back in his first tilt at the distance.
Paul Braddon’s Tango’s Express took out that race and will go into this afternoon’s run the $3.00 favourite from gate four, with Regan Keeping, Queen Taro ($5.00) and I’m I Said ($7.00) also expected to be in it.
It will be Rice to Riches’s ($9.00) first tilt at the distance, but after an 11-length win over 400m last week she’s in good form. Chisel Miss, Lehigh Model, Grovebrook Flyer, Tiger Swuff and Roberts’ other hope Mary’s Shadow round out the form.
The meet kicks off with the Ladbrokes Info Hub Maiden (318m) at 12.20pm, with the main event at 1.37pm.
