From 6pm until midnight, the cafe will feature musicians such as Dylan Goolagong, Norah Dorin and Miriam Parker.
Peter Volkofsky said the cafe was a ‘third space’, that is, community area, predominately used by 16 to 25-year-olds, but open to everyone.
Midnite Cafe was built on a triangle of music, art and coffee with conversation in the middle, Mr Volkofsky said.
As well as the music, there will also be Pokemon Go lures released for the gamers.
In July, the cafe reopened after a four-month hiatus.
At the time, volunteer and music director Jordan Smith said the numbers were triple what was expected.
“We had a lot of people turn up. Normally we might get a maximum of 20, but we probably had about 60 or 70 people,” he said.
“I think it was because it was the first time we were back again, and we had a lot of Pokemon hunters there because of the free Wi-Fi.”
At the moment Midnite Cafe is opening once a month, but Mr Volkofsky said he planned to build it up so it was a fortnightly event.
