Team Head, made up of Andrew Perry, Brad Tanswell, Kaila Ashford and Ivan Gould, were deserved winners, with a tense four sets to two victory over team Dunlop in the final round sealing the victory.
Despite only dropping one of their matches throughout the 10 round competition, team Head still needed to defeat team Dunlop to remain in first position.
While team Dunlop, comprising Charlie Whiteley, Danny Tink, Wendy Cox and Peter Muller, played well, team Head's ability to hold their nerve and claim two decisive tie-break sets, proved to be the difference and they were rightfully crowned champions.
Throughout the competition, all players showed considerable improvement and many made mention of how they enjoyed the social aspect of the nights and the good spirit in which the games were played.
With the Paramount Tennis Club's winter night competitions now complete, all focus has turned to their Spring competition which will begin from the week starting September 5.
The Paramount Tennis Club will offer three nights of tennis on a Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, with Monday being the strongest grade, then Wednesday, then Thursday.
Registrations are needed by August 21, with names to be either put on the club's noticeboard in the clubhouse, or by email to paramounttennis@live.com.au.
