Panthers, barring a disaster on Saturday, have the minor premiership all but sown up and after Wanderers were ruled out of the finals race they reassessed their goals, taking down Lithgow in the final round was made a high priority.
The Orange side will have plenty of momentum and confidence heading into the game too after demolishing Bathurst City 11-2.
Granted, those factors are somewhat negated by the fact Panthers put 12 past Dubbo Lions and conceded none.
Wanderers player-coach Matt Johnson scored four against City while Adam Hurford and Connor Morris bagged doubles, Adam Skelton, Zac Royal and Darryn Marjoram all scored as well.
Wanderers were never really troubled in the game, leading 5-1 at half-time courtesy of goals from Johnson, Hurford, Morris, Marjoram and Skelton, while Isaac Darlington scored one for Bathurst City.
Johnson scored a second half hat-trick, Hurford and Morris completed their doubles while Zac Royal found the back of the net as well.
