With Narromine just one point behind in sixth, the Magpies need a win to guarantee themselves finals football in 2016.
After last week’s loss to Macquarie, captain Jake Grace said his side need to get back to their best.
“We didn’t play our best last week,” he said.
“The week before we beat one of the better teams, Nyngan, which was probably one of our best games this season.”
“We are definitely confident. As long as our preparation is up to scratch we will play our best footy.”
The Magpies are expected to feature the same side as they did last week against the Raiders, with forwards Grace, Zac Merritt and Ben Maguire all key men up front while youngster Nick Greenhalgh will be keen to inject himself into the game from fullback.
“We need to take control, get in the grind and make sure we do our best,” Grace said.
Parkes captain-coach Dennis Moran said his side need to make a statement early and stay solid, something that didn’t happen in last week’s loss to CYMS.
Moran added handling the Magpies big men will be vital to his side’s hopes.
"That's where Forbes is very strong...it's always a pretty rough contest against Forbes," he said.
"We need to play the full 80 minutes, we didn't play the 80 minutes last week against the CYMS.
"And we need to focus on our execution,” he said.
Kick-off is 2.30pn.
