The incidents followed a carjacking in Orange.
Earlly on Saturday morning, a 21-year-old man was sitting in his car on Bathurst Road in Orange when he was approached by three unknown men.
The group threatened the man with a knife before demanding the keys to his vehicle - a white 1994 Holden Commodore sedan - and driving away.
The group were seen travelling west on Bathurst Road in the car.
The man did not suffer any injuries and reported the matter to police.
About 2.30am, the vehicle was involved in two police pursuits in Dubbo, however both times police terminated the pursuit due to safety concerns.

“It would appear that vehicle was involved in a fail to pay for fuel in the early hours of the morning on August 7 (Sunday) at a service station in Dubbo,” he said.
However, soon afterwards, about 2am the vehicle was finally recovered on the Mitchell Highway at Maryvale and both the vehicle and its contents were seized by police in an effort to identify the offenders.
“It was seen by passers by, the vehicle had been set alight and sustained significant damage,” Inspector Beard said.
