Six nominees are in the running to be named ‘Volunteer of the Year’ and ‘Club of the Year’ after regional voting nominations were received.
Thrift has been tirelessly assisting the Coolah Rugby League community for almost 40 years and played an instrumental role in bringing back the senior Roos to the Castlereagh League in 2012 following a 12-year hiatus.
Thrift will head to Sydney as the Western representative and will be up against Kylie Morrison from the Central Coast, Cheryl DiBella from Greater Southern, Sean Amoamo from the Bidgee region, Nigel Lofts from the East Coast and Michelle Williams from Greater Northern.
The winners will be revealed at the Holiday Inn Country Rugby League Volunteer and Club of the Year awards at Potts Point on Saturday.
