Robertson was one of four uncapped players named in the extended 36-man squad, from which a team to contest the Rugby Championship opener against New Zealand next month will be selected.
Robertson has only played 13 Super Rugby matches for the Waratahs but is highly regarded within the game and his selection is another show of faith from national coach Michael Cheika.
The prop was one of 10 Waratahs named in the squad and all will converge on the Central Coast for training.
Overseas-based players Matt Giteau, Will Genia, Drew Mitchell and Adam Ashley-Cooper all gained selection, after last wearing the green and gold in the 2015 World Cup final. The squad also includes Quade Cooper, who recently left Toulon.
