Yet when the rivals do battle at Bob Roach Field this Saturday, the Saints know they will need to work hard to extend that record.
A month ago at the same venue, St Pat’s had to twice come from behind to force a 2-all draw with Wanderers.
The Saints had plenty of chances in that match – including 10 penalty corners and a penalty stroke – but their poor conversion rate nearly cost them.
Jaden Ekert scored the second goal for the Saints with less than three minutes remaining, but he will not be present on Saturday.
He is in Darwin coaching the New South Wales Country men’s hockey team at the national championships, an outfit which includes Orange duo Nick Milne and Mick Dillon.
St Pat’s need to win today’s match if they are to remain in second, with play to get underway at 3.20pm at Bob Roach Field.
