The unassuming sisters from Grafton on the state’s north coast are now celebrating their milestone with a ten-show national tour – 10 Years of Hits.
Brooke McClymont said Dubbo was an obvious choice.
“Everybody in Dubbo knows how to party and we like that,” Brooke said.
“It is central, it's got a good-size population you've got close surrounding towns.
“We've kind of hopefully picked the areas that people can travel to.”
The McClymonts hit the Dubbo RSL Memorial Club stage on Friday, August 19, and Brooke said they have tried to squeeze in their most popular tracks.
“The songs we've picked for this tour are the ones the fans have been requesting for the last 10 years,” she said.
“We are playing songs from the EP through to the current album, as well as a few surprises along the way!”
Each of the sisters has also chosen a favourite to play live.
“We are so pumped to get back out on the road, there's been a lot happening individually and we are so happy to be touring again!”
The 10 Years of Hits tour kicked off with a sell-out show at Palms at Crown in Melbourne on July 22, and takes in Bendigo, Rooty Hill, Canberra and Grafton before heading to Dubbo.
It’s a long way from the four-track EP of 2006, and playing on a bare stage with nothing but their guitars and voices as Lee Kernaghan’s opening act.
They’ve now amassed ten Golden Guitars, two Aria Awards and are currently working on their fifth studio album, due for release in early 2017.
Brooke said the sisters never expected to come this far, and while she can’t explain their success, they have never taken it for granted.
“I don't what it is. Maybe we’re writing songs that people connect with,” she said.
“Maybe it's our harmonies. We put on a really good show, it could be a combination.
“I don't know what it is but I know our formula is love what you do or no-one else will...you can't fool people. We've really stuck to what we know.”
The McClymonts’ 10 Years of Hits National Concert Tour is at the Dubbo RSL Memorial Club on Friday, August 19.
