The inaugural flight is due into Dubbo City Regional Airport at 7.25am on Monday, July 18.
Western Plains Regional Council administrator Michael Kneipp said the connection will open up business opportunities in Dubbo, while allowing Newcastle visitors to experience local attractions.
A destination giveaway competition is underway to mark the occasion, with entries closing on July 31.
