The party met to discuss its strategy for the new parliament, after the Coalition on Sunday claimed victory in the federal election.
Mr Gee also met Deputy Prime Minister and Nationals Leader Barnaby Joyce.
The Nationals are looking to secure an additional ministerial or parliamentary secretary position buoyed by a strong poll result.
As Liberal MPs lost seats around the country, the Nationals held electorates increasing their proportion in the Coaltion.
The Nationals will be in a position to push for more focus on regional issues.
Mr Gee enters the halls of power following his victory in the recent federal election where he received 62.1% of the two party preferred vote.
‘’ I am delighted to be in Canberra and ready to get to work for the electorate.’’ he said.
Mr Gee moved from the safe state seat of Orange to federal parliament.
