Tuesday June 28 saw our Stage 1 students dressing up and participating in games, scones and tea as
well as walking through a museum of old wares including clothing and household items from staff
family collections, some of which date back 5 generations.
Parents and community members were invited to join in with their children for the games and other
activities. We had a great turn out and students were able to learn a lot about technology of the past
and how people in Australia used to live.
Red Nose Day
On Thursday 21 st June Dubbo South Public School participated in Red Nose Day activities to help
raise money for SIDS for Kids. Students dressed in red and gave a gold coin donation to participate in
a disco. There was also red nose paintings, a colouring in competition and a cupcake stall with
cupcakes donated by parents of our school community.
We are proud to have raised $1,133.75.

AT the Daily Liberal we love to highlight the achievements of the younger members of our community.
Whether it be academically, on the sporting fields or in any other endeavours, we think it is important to showcase the good things being done in education in this city.
That is why we encourage all schools in the Dubbo region to contribute to our weekly ‘School News’ section of the paper and website.
Depending on space the ‘School News’ section generally runs in Tuesday’s edition of the Daily Liberal and gives the educational institutions a chance to show the community how their children are progressing
Currently a couple of schools send in material on a regular basis but we’re always keen to hear from more of you, so we can let people know what the little learners in our city are up to.
If your school has anything it would like to share with our readers, please email the information and any photographs you have available to community.wnsw@fairfaxmedia.com.au
While we are often restricted as to how much content and how many photographs we can fit into the hard copy edition of the Daily Liberal, any content sent to us will be used in full on our website www.dailyliberal.com.au so all of those special achievements get some recognition.
Please note that any photographic files should be sent to us in high resolution, we recommend at least 1MB.
