NSW Sports Minister Stuart Ayres and Dubbo MP Troy Grant were in Dubbo on Wednesday to present the funds to representatives from the Rams, including regional manager Peter Clarke.
He said the organisation had chosen to use the money to put coaches and trainers through a range of approved courses.
Clarke said it would assist clubs and the sport as a whole to become more professional and grow in the region.
“We are looking at where we can assist our volunteers at club level,” he said.
“It’s hard for volunteers when you ask them to do that education so it’s good to be able to support them to cover costs associated with getting accredited.
In total, Mr Ayres said $50,000 in grants had been handed out in the region during the latest allocation of Sports and Recreation funding.
