The roundabouts will go at the intersection with Wheelers Lane, and Alexandrina Avenue.
In a report to council, manager technical support Mark Stacey said the construction of the intersections would be staged across three years.
The first stage, the Wheelers Lane roundabout and the Boundary Roud reconstruction to Alexandrina Avenue, will start in July. Stage two will start in July 2018 with the Alexandrina Avenue roundabout and the continuation of the Boundary Road connection to Sheraton Road.
The Boundary Road extension would eventually link with Sheraton, to provide access to the future extension of Keswick and Southlakes estates, as well as additional private land developments, Mr Stacey said.
It is intended the speed limit on Boundary Road would become 60 kilometres per hour, however it would be subject to Roads and Maritime Services approval, he said.
Meanwhile, safety is set to be improved at the opposite end of Boundary Road.
Council will introduce a median separation island at the intersection with Macquarie Street to prevent corner cutting.
The intersection will be realigned to intersect with the main street at a 90 degree angle, and the median island and pedestrian access ramps installed.
Safety will also be improved at the three-way Y intersection of Bedford Avenue with Mountbatten Drive and Jenmark Road.
A give way sign will be implemented in Bedford Avenue, giving priority to Mountbatten Drive and Jenmark Road, Mr Stacey said.
The on-street parking issue will also be targeted, he said, with vehicles currently parking at 90 degrees to the kerb on Jenmark Road, restricting traffic flow and visibility.
“Many motorists have total disregard of the intersection set back parking regulation even though it is more than obvious the impact it has on the road safety environment,” Mr Stacey said.
