The two Dubbo sides have struggled for consistency in 2016 but they dished up one of the matches of the season.
After a tight tussle the Fishies scored in the dying stages of the match but that was the final twist as Raiders worked their way downfield and scored in the corner to seal a classic 16-14 win.
Dennis Allen-Peckham, Dylan Carr and Jai Merritt scored the crucial tries for Macquarie while Luke Gale’s two conversions proved vital.
Jackson Bonham-Phair and Joden Wilson scored for the Fishies while Bayden Searle kicked two goals and Callum Astill kicked one.
In other grades, Macquarie slumped to their second consecutive reserve grade loss after the Fishies got up 18-10.
The Ladies League Tag clash was most one-sided of the day as the CYMS side continued on their dominant run with a 40-4 win, highlighted by a double to Maddison Chapman.
