JOHN AYTON
There are a number of social issues across the electorate that requires a strong new plan for the future.
With the Online Direct Democracy platform PollyWeb.org people can begin the conversation locally about what they feel are important social issues to them.
This begins the discussion about a new plan for the future of the electorate. Employment, housing, drug use, gambling, general health, education and infrastructure, income stability, indigenous welfare, bullying etc, are issues within the electorate that affect us all on a social level.
PollyWeb.org can facilitate the development of and provide a forum for common issues and solutions. We can then all work together to formulate the appropriate actions to take.
Our platform can be at the center of true democratic policy development, addressing the issues in a local and specific manner, rather than band-aid fixes across the nation, which only aid to isolate specific issues in the less represented electorates. Online Direct democracy plans on working with local and state governments in a unified and symbiotic way to ensure that the local issues get heard proportionately on the national federal stage.
- The Daily Liberal offered each of the five candidates for the seat of Parkes the opportunity to answer the questions put forward to them. Each candidate was offered the same amount of editorial space in which to reply to each particular topic.
