Three Dubbo teams travelled to Newcastle for the competition and each returned home with numerous wins under their belts.
The Opens team won seven of their matches and continued to get better as the competition went on while the 21 and under side was outstanding against many of the state's best sides.
The 17 and under side also recorded seven wins, showing the form expected after such a comprehensive training program.
"On and off the court it was just a great bunch," Dubbo Netball Association member and Opens player Michelle Williams said.
"We all had fun and then everyone came together as a team and it's the best we've gone for a few years.
"The bonding, team work and cohesion was all great."
Williams and her Opens teammates began slowly during day one of competition on Saturday, losing their first five matches against quality opposition, but a convincing 32-13 win over the Blue Mountains kicked them into gear.
By Monday morning they had played another 10 matches but showed no signs of fatigue and won four of their final six fixtures.
"We had two massive wins over teams much higher ranked than us," Williams said.
"We were down by about seven in our final game against Kurri Kurri and then won by one and we beat Shoalhaven by nine and they were much higher ranked than us so we were chuffed to finish like that."
The 21s side won eight of their 16 fixtures, an impressive effort given they were mixing it with a number of Sydney and metropolitan side.
They were particularly strong on Sunday, winning four of their five matches, including a victory over powerhouse Wyong.
"They shocked them (Wyong) after losing to them on the first day," Williams said.
"They did really, really well and were against a lot of city-based teams who were notoriously strong and for our girls to do that well, especially with just nine players, was great."
Williams said she was not surprised the 17s side did so well after that squad won seven of their matches, with a 21-13 win over Hastings Valley the highlight.
After seeing all three sides, but particularly the junior sides, do so well Williams said the future looks bright for Dubbo netball.
"It's just going to filter through because those 17s will go to the 21s and the 21s will go to the Opens," she said.
"And also our younger juniors can see that you can keep playing and playing State League after the 15s age group."
