The local association had a number of Dubbo Rams teams in action but the undoubted highlights were the under-14s women's Blue side and the under-16s women's side, who both won their respective divisions and finished the competition as NSW country champions.
On top of that, Dubbo duo Amelia Raidaveta and Taneka Todhunter were named Most Valuable Players for their respective under-14s and under-16s age groups.
"It's great because it solidifies the name Dubbo has a strong and fierce competitor," Dubbo Basketball Association president Carolyn Billiards said.
"We've definitely been building our representative teams and each year there's nearly one more team each time, which is fantastic but none of the sustained success is possible without the efforts of the players, coaches and parents."
Billiards reiterated the fact Dubbo is so luck to have such strong coaches when discussing the weekend's results.
Claire Hargreaves and Damien Reid have been long-serving coaches, as has Jordan Morrow, who helped the 14s girls to victory in Division 1 at Terrigal.
"The under-14 women's Blue is quite an outstanding team with a lot of talent," Billiards said.
"They won Division 1 of the Western Junior League so we were excited to see how they'd go and they did a fantastic job."
The under-14s Blue side were hugely impressive all weekend.
After scoring wins over the Bellinger Vallye Braves and Gosford City Rebels first up, the team then slipped to a 33-25 loss to the highly-fancied Canberra Gunners.
But the young Rams didn't give in and went on to score emphatic wins in both thier quarter-final and semi-final, over the Newcastle Hunters and Port Macquarie Dolphins.
In the final they came up against the the Goulburn Bears, the team who had earlier knocked out the undefeated Canberra Gunners.
But the Rams showed why they went in as one of the sides to watch and went on to win 48-42.
The under-16s were equally as impressive, going through their Division 2 competition at Maitland undefeated.
Coach Gary Taylor saw his team breeze through the group stage, defeating Batemans Bay, Maitland, Goulburn and Newcastle on thier way to the finasl.
The young Rams then smashed the Port Macquarie Dolphins 57-26 in the quarters, before getting past the Gosford City Rebels 36-25 in the semi.
The grand final was a thrilling encounter but Dubbo lifted when they needed to and won 34-32.
"The 16s are really fantastic and did incredibly well in a really tough competition," Billiards said.
"It's a bit of a composite side because there's two Lithgow girls in there and they don't normally train with the girls so for them to put it all together was outstanding."
With the bulk of the representative competition now completed, Billiards said any youngsters interested in basketball are welcome to attend the local Friday night competition at Sportsworld in order to get a feel for their game in the lead up to the 2017 season.
