The teenager recently opened the 2016 Sydney Fashion week, walking in Toni Maticevski's show.
All up, Lara featured in 11 shows wearing a range of top name designers.
"It was really tiring but a lot of fun. There's always something going on, which I love," she said.
Lara's career came from a lucky break.
"I was at a barbecue for my brother's basketball team and I was lucky enough to be scouted by Priscilla's [Model Management] while I was there. I signed with them soon after and that's how my modelling journey began," she said.
It's a break that Lara has yet to completely decide what to do with.
"Right now I'm focusing on my final year of school, but I definitely want to take a gap year to pursue modelling further next year. I guess I'll see how it goes from there," she said.
However, no matter what, Lara said she had a strong support network.
"There's always someone who sends me a text to congratulate me, or comes up to me to give me their support," she said.
"I'm so lucky to have people in my life who I know will stand by me no matter what. It is something for which I am truly grateful."
It's not the first major fashion show for Lara. Last year she became one out of three Australian models chosen to showcase the new Prada collection at Milan Fashion Week.
