The improvements included an upgrade to the existing Talbragar Street parking area, and the extension of the bus shelter to include two new coach parking bays.
One additional commuter car parking space has also been created following the work.
New accessible ramps were installed to make it easier and safer for customers to access the nearby footpath on their way to and from the station.
"We've also delivered new pedestrian crossings, new line marking around the existing car park, fencing and signage for customers," Dubbo MP and Deputy Premier Troy Grant said.
"This is great news for the many customers who rely on Dubbo Station to get from A to B."
Lighting upgrades will be completed in the coming months to improve safety.
The work was delivered as part of the NSW government's Transport Access Program, an initiative to deliver accessible, modern, secure and integrated transport infrastructure.
Since the Transport Access Program launched in April 2012, more than 450 projects have been completed or are under way, Mr Grant said.
"This project is yet another example of this government's commitment to delivering vital infrastructure in regional areas," he said.
