The community care provider, which operates in Dubbo and Parkes, focuses on influencing the negative health statistics of the Indigenous population.
Alongside chef Clayton Donovan the initial idea of using native ingredients has expanded into a community focused initiative connecting Aboriginal Elders, schools and communities to enact long-term change.
"With 15 years of experience and a focus on the future, we are thrilled to win this award. It shows that we are recognised in the local community and acknowledges the hard work of our dedicated staff," CEO Catherine Daley said.
"We thank the HESTA Nursing Awards team for promoting the work of our staff, which often goes unacknowledged, and contributes to ensuring older people's health and wellbeing is supported within their communities, often avoiding unnecessary hospital admissions and preventing premature deaths."
Ms Daley said the $10,000 prize money would be put toward furthering the program.
The nursing awards recognise excellence across all fields of the aged care industry, celebrating significant contributions to the quality of life of older people, and community involvement in aged and community care services.
Integratedliving is a not-for-profit organisation that assists frail older people, younger people with a disability and their carers maintain their health and wellbeing in regional and rural areas.
