It's just the second win for the Demons in 2016, who played host to the struggling reigning premiers at South Dubbo Oval on Saturday.
Co-coach Will Bunt said the Demons had arrived.
"They played to their ability, stuck to the game plan and it just worked," he said.
"They did everything we've asked them to do: they went hard at the ball, aggressive at the ball, played hard for possession and now we have seen what they're capable of.
"I think it's going to make people sit up and take notice a bit more now."
The Tigers have struggled in their title defence, getting their only win over the Bathurst Giants in the same weekend the Demons recorded their first win over Young.
In Saturday's game, the first quarter was an even one but the home side led 3.4 (22) to 3.0 (18) at the change.
The Demons dominated the second quarter to set up a 48-point lead and while the Tigers showed life in the third quarter, another dominant final term from the Dubbo side ensured a massive win.
After managing just three goals in the first quarter, the hosts piled it on the second period to score six goals and three behinds (57 points) to Orange's single behind.
An incredibly low-scoring third period followed the main break, with Orange nine points to Dubbo's three.
But the hosts turned it on again in the final quarter, slotting in eight more goals and another behind to take the win 119-42.
Bunt said it was a terrific team effort, with Nicholas O'Sullivan and Joseph Hedger scoring four majors apiece while Jayden Wallace and Brendon Garlett bagged three each.
The centres and backline also "did their job", he said.
"It was a good team performance and I suppose that was set up by our midfield dominating from the first bounce and the back line just stopping everything that was coming our way and then in attack we used it strongly and converted," Bunt said.
"That's what we have been looking at, is turning that defence into effective attack and controlling it into the forward 50 and converting it.
"That's a big confidence boost for our boys because they have been putting it in against some of the top sides and not done that well.
"It was a really good effort and it was really pleasing to watch from the sideline...a lot of people commented just how good the football looked."
The Demons women also took a win earlier in the day in a tight contest against the Tigerettes.
The Demons dominated possession throughout the game, but a really strong second quarter helped them pull away to a 22 point lead at half time.
Orange couldn't come back, and the Demons went on to secure a 7.6 (48) to 3.11 (29) win.
"Both sides have won for two weeks in a row now," Bunt said.
"It's a really positive feeling in the club at the moment."
