Families in Jack William Drive will benefit from Dubbo City Council's hop skip and jump into another playground makeover.
Equipment in the East Dubbo street's playground is set to be knocked down, removed and replaced at a cost of $50,000.
A slide, nest swing and rope bridges are among the structures to be installed across two weeks from May 16.
Dubbo City Council's manager horticultural services Ian McAlister reports that it will not be long before the new playground gets a workout.
"By the end of May children in the local area will have a brand new playground to use," he said.
The manager anticipates the renovation will make the playground a bigger drawcard for more fun-loving youngsters.
"The new playground will offer a greater range of play activities and will suit a broader range of ages than the existing playground," he said.
Sydney-based company SpizVac won the contract to revamp the playground, currently fenced off.
The council has already replaced equipment at Manera Heights Park, Buckingham Drive Park and Elston Park, with a new playground being installed at Powter Park.
Playground equipment at Daphne Park and Lunar Park will be upgraded in 2016-17, Wahroonga Park in 2017-18 and Muller Park in 2018-19.
