It will be CYMS' first game on the road for 2016, after they downed Macquarie and Narromine in consecutive home games at Caltex Park to open their Group 11 title defence.
But Forbes have also started strong, downing Dubbo Westside 52-22 at home before making light work of Wellington in a powerful 48-10 victory at Kennard Park last Sunday.
CYMS coach Tim Ryan said it's hard to know what Forbes would throw at the Fishies, but they'll be ready for anything.
"They're a new look team so it's hard to know how anyone is going to go so we'll just go over there and be prepared to have a real good battle," Ryan said.
"Should be good. As I said they're a new look team...they've had two big wins so it's going to be a challenge for us."
The CYMS coach was disappointed following the side's 24-22 win over Macquarie, with a lack of discipline - resulting in too many penalties - targeted as an area for improvement.
The Fishies upped the ante for the clash with Narromine last weekend, but Ryan said there's still work to do.
"Just continuing on from last week, just trying to improve a little bit each week, working hard in defence and keep working on our combinations," he said.
"There's no perfect game or week. You can always get better and keep working on things.
"It's hard, it's our first away game this year but we're used to it from previous years so it won't be a factor. We've got a good bit of support - the Old Boys usually head out there so that will help us along.
"No [standouts], just hoping everyone just keeps on working. We don't look at anyone in particular to lift us. We'll play as a team."
In Sunday's other games, Westside will travel to Nyngan while Wellington play host to Narromine.
Westside are yet to win a game after two rounds in the Group 11, losing to Forbes in the opening round and again at home to Macquarie last Sunday.
The side came one game short of a grand final berth in 2015, and coach Robbie Dunn has said they'll be aiming to go at least one further this year.
