Owners of pre-1930 cars will come from across the state, Queensland and South Australia for the tour and while based at Dubbo, they will visit Wongarbon, Geurie and Wellington for small trips.
This will be the first time Dubbo has hosted the rally, which began at Orange 11 years ago, and two years ago visited Cowra.
Matt Lack from the Dubbo Antique Automobile Club said it was exciting for Dubbo to get the event and
"Everyone who comes along is here for the purpose of driving and enjoying their machine. We put the cars on display when we have meal breaks but it's more about the driving and being tourists in the district," he said.
The cars will be on display at Aussie Cabins on Wheelers Lane on Friday between noon and 2pm. On Saturday participants will take a drive to Wellington via backroads through Wongarbon and Geurie.
A dinner will be held on Saturday night.
Mr Lack said being older cars, some had relatively low top speeds and said would try not to interrupt traffic too much on their day trips but asked people to be patient.
"We aren't here to clog the roads up, we are trying to stay off the main roads as much as we can," he said.
"There will be times where we do have to use arterial roads but we will be on and off them as quick as we can."
