A man has been charged after cannabis, with an estimated street value of up to $10,000, was located in his vehicle in Wellingon.

About 11.30pm on Saturday officers attached to Orana Local Area Command came across a man whose car was bogged and a tow-truck driver assisting him on the side of the road on Pierce Street.
Police spoke to the 29-year-old driver of the bogged vehicle, before searching the car, where it’s alleged they located drug paraphernalia and over 830 grams of cannabis leaf, with an estimated street value of about $10,000.
The items were seized for forensic examination.
The man was arrested and taken to Wellington Police Station. He was issued a Future Court Attendance Notice for possess prohibited drug, to appear at Wellington Local Court on June 21.
Investigations continue and police are urging anyone with information to come forward and contact Crime Stoppers.
