Heavy steel sheets were sourced and then cut out by Bob Boys before being welded into the shape and style required by the Rotary Club of Dubbo Macquarie, which hosts the book fair as a charity fundraiser.
The stands are designed to be placed on tables with book category signs in the tight clasps at the top so the public can easily see where the different kinds of books are located within St Brigid's Church Hall.
There are 20 different book categories and this delivery of stands completes a three-year project by the Men's Shed to supply 20 stands for each category sign .
Some of the 20 categories of books include gardening, cooking, crafts and hobbies, war and military, big print, cowboys and westerns, fiction, children, biographies, self-help, DIY, transport, sport, religion, humour , Australiana, animals, travel and foreign countries, and romance .
The book fair is now less than two weeks away, with the doors of St Brigid's Church Hall to open on May 14, from 8am to 4pm.
