Aboriginal Model Search said they were focused on finding the next Aboriginal supermodel to represent Australia in the fashion industry during their Dubbo auditions.
Ms Anderson is among 20 finalists who have been chosen so far to move on to the national final at Sydney in September.
"To be honest I've only been walking in high heels two weeks prior before the event so the moment when they called out my name I was completely gobsmacked only because halfway through the solo catwalk, I fell down the stairs," Ms Anderson said.
"Yes I was embarrassed but I wasn't going to leave like that. So I soldiered on. I'll always remember that particular moment, something to have a laugh about with family and friends."
Ms Anderson said she was grateful for the opportunity Aboriginal Model Search had given her, and was already buzzing with excitement.
The Aboriginal Model Search at Dubbo was a joyous event, she said and she loved meeting new faces.
Ms Anderson lives at Narromine with her three siblings and mother, and attends Dubbo College Senior Campus.
