Lamb's greyhound jumps from box four in the $15,0000-to-the-winner final, the biggest race of the year at the Dubbo track, fresh from his sizzling 29.49 run from box five in last Monday's heats.
One Hill is in great form but will have to overcome Brad Hill Bill (box two), one of NSW's best greyhounds who broke the track record at Dubbo in the heats.
Lamb, an Indigenous Australian who grew up at Trangie but was now based at Swan Bay in the Hunter Valley, said a win in Sunday's feature race would have special significance for him.
"Trangie is where my people, the Wiradjuri tribe, originated,'' Lamb said.
"After attending primary school in Trangie I went to Dubbo South High School and I have always wanted to win a big race out west.
"Swan Bay has been my home now for 15 years but I have great memories of my time out there.
"It's a great achievement to win any feature race but this one would be nice."
Brad Hill Billy will likely start race favourite after smashing the track record with his hugely impressive 29.30 run - 0.29 inside the previous track best.
A winner of more than $220,000 prize money and a runner-up in the recent Group 1 Ladbrokes Golden Easter Egg, Brad Hill Billy has won four times and placed six times in 10 previous starts from box two.
One Hill's run was almost as impressive, however, with last week's win following up a strong 29.64 effort at Dubbo the previous week.
He has a patchy record of two wins from six previous starts from box four but is a consistent performer himself, with 11 wins and 16 minor placings from 36 starts.
One Hill has won four times and placed once in his past seven starts and Hunter Valley trainer Lamb is in confident mood.
"It's not often you get two greyhounds breaking the previous track records in successive races, is it?" he said.
"The trip over there has done him good. It's given him somewhere different to race - he's enjoyed the change and that's why he's racing well.
"He's really up against it here and I would have preferred him to have been on the inside, but on current form he's in with a chance."
Of the rest involved, All A Blaze (box three) ran 29.71 behind Brad Hill Billy in the heats and looks the next best.
Her trainer Paul Braddon has been enjoying a terrific recent spell, winning the recent Group 2 Maitland Gold Cup with Marbo's Magic and scoring a swag of victories at NSW country tracks over the last year.
Suzi Cargo (box one), Awesome Danny (box five), Part Of Me (box six) Second Line in box seven and Tullabung Honey on the outside complete the field.
The race headlines a terrific 10-race card at the Dubbo club, with action under way at 5.47pm.
