An incentive the club put out this year was an entry fee waiver for participants outside a 300-kilometre radius of Dubbo.
Another first for the tournament was a 'Player of the Carnival' over the three days going on wins plus margins.
This year the club had competitors from Rose Hill, Dee Why, Orange Country Club, Orange City, Molong, Coonamble, Camden, Trangie, Monteagle, Bathurst, Gulgong, plus local neighbours, Dubbo City.
The first event was the Men's Pairs on Good Friday, with 34 teams competing.
After the three preliminary rounds, there were seven teams in the play-offs over three ends on a knock-out basis.
After the dust had settled in the play-offs, the eventual winners was the team from Bathurst, John Archer and Phil Gray, who defeated Sam Dukes and Brad Roberts in the final.
For their efforts, they collected $500 each, while the runners-up collected $300 each. The play-offs for third and fourth went to Warren Murray and Adam Lee ($200 each), defeating Alby Harper and Brian Jones ($100 each).
On Saturday, 24 teams competed in the Men's Triples event for the major prize money of $1500 per team.

After the play-offs, the final placings for the triples were: David Dalton's team defeated Richard Clarke's team for the major prize money of $1500, with the runners-up collecting $900 per team.
The play-off for third and fourth resulted in a win for Adam Lee's team over Josh Andriske, with the third team collecting $600 and fourth $300.

On Sunday the Club staged its first Open Medley three-bowl pairs tournament for the Easter weekend, with three games of eight ends, and wins and margins determining the winners.
Teams could have been men, women or mixed. Twenty teams competed and after the three rounds only two teams had three wins.
The winners were Tony Scott and his wife Rosita Kamis with three wins plus 36 shots, collecting $400 for the team.
Brothers Roy and Tony Leonard from Orange Country Club were second while fellow Country Club bowlers John Powyer and Mark Rickard were third.
A new award was made this year for the player over the carnival.
This went to Henry Gordon beating Alan Andriske. The winner of this new award valued at $100 was determined by wins and the margins over the three days.
The West Dubbo Men's Match Committee, Ros Gilholme and President Brian Jones deserve a lot of credit for all their work during the weekend.
