AFTER a series of shoplifting incidents on Macquarie Street, Dubbo police have urged retailers to call straight away to incidents of theft and to make CCTV footage available to be used for evidence.

On Tuesday afternoon a 15-year-old Dubbo girl was allegedly seen shoplifting in Best and Less in Macquarie Street before making a getaway on a pushbike.
The next day an Aboriginal man who was six feet tall and wearing a maroon and white horizontally striped T-shirt was seen acting suspiciously in Myer.
Orana Local Area Command (Inspector Andrew Hurst said the police had a co-operative relationship with retailers.
"We are encouraging all retailers to report all shoplifting incidents and suspicious activity immediately," he said.
"We are sending the message that we have adopted a zero tolerance policy to shop theft."
At 3.50pm on Tuesday the 15-year-old girl and another youth entered the Best and Less.
Police allege the young person selected a number of clothing items including men's boxers, female and male singlets and female shirts.
The other youth allegedly acted as a lookout for the 15-year-old before they walked out the front door with the items.
The young person then allegedly climbed onto her bike while the other seated themselves on the handles of the bike and rode south along Macquarie Street.
Police were contacted and on inspection of the change rooms discovered removed price tags. Police identified the girl from CCTV footage and on Thursday at 12.10pm located the young person on Carrington Avenue.
On searching the 15-year-old girl's black handbag, the police allege they located several items with Woolworths barcodes including shampoo, baby socks and other cosmetic items; a further search failed to locate a receipt.
She appeared in Dubbo Children's Court yesterday.
On Wednesday, an employee of Myer became suspicious of an Aboriginal man who allegedly placed six pairs of Calvin Klein underwear in a red and white shopping bag before going into a change room.
The man soon left the store afterwards without the bag.
The CCTV footage from the store was given to police after the incident, Inspector Hurst said.
"On looking at the CCTV it appears the male had left the items as he was alerted that an employee was watching," he said.
