Instead, Dubbo Interrelate will throw open its doors and welcome in the community that has benefited from its presence.
"It seems fitting that we are celebrating this milestone just after Valentine's Day, an international day dedicated to the importance of loving relationships," said Anne Heath, Interrelate area manager in the Central West and Far West.
"At this time of year, we often see people put a huge focus on nurturing their romantic relationships, when at Interrelate we know that all relationships need the same kind of dedication and appreciation, in order for them to flourish."
Ms Heath said Interrelate began providing relationship services in Dubbo and the Central West at a time when the divorce rate had peaked and the fertility rate had plummeted.
"It was a time when many people were wondering where the future of the family unit was heading and if it would survive," the manager said.
"Years later, we can look back and reflect upon what a traditional family 40 years ago looked like compared to families today.
"However, the essence of those relationships and the important influence they have in our lives and on our wellbeing have remained the same."
Monday's celebration at 138 Darling Street will run from 10.30am to 1.30pm with the public invited to meet the Interrelate team, take part in relationship-building activities, enjoy entertainment and kids activities, and learn more about the services and programs on offer.
Launched in 1926, Interrelate has a network of centres across metropolitan, regional and rural NSW.
Each year it helps more than 60,000 individuals, couples, families and children to "strengthen their relationships".
