An all-round team performance was the catalyst for the win, with a number of players chipping in with both bat and ball.
Dubbo won the toss and elected to bat at Lady Cutler 3 and the home side then went on to post 201.
There were some nervous moments in the field as the Tim Smith inspired the Nyngan run chase but the young Dubbo side stuck to their task and went on to win by just 11 runs.
"It was a good all-round performance from the boys, who stuck to their guns well under pressure and came up with the result," team manager Mick Davis said.
It had earlier not looked so promising for Dubbo when they slumped to 2-19 with Blake Watmore (0) and Michael Ying Sing (5) back in the sheds.
A 54-run stand between captain Matt Ellis and Angus Cusack got things back on track, with the duo nullifying the impact of Nyngan's Macquarie quick, Mitch Williams-Hedges.
Ellis departed for 31 and Cusack departed soon after for 38, which turned out to be the top score of the innings.
Nick Karydis (28) and Tyler Woodrow (20) also chipped in while 31 sundries helped Dubbo pass the 200 mark.
In reply, Nyngan got off to a solid start and passed 30 within six overs before Watmore removed Cam Bourke (16).
A middle order collapse of 4-31 saw Nyngan stumble to 5-80 but key player Tim Smith remained in the middle.
The hard-hitting Smith passed the half-century mark and seemed capable of guiding his side home but Adlai Shipp (1-18) had him caught by Nick Karydis.
The tail failed to wag and Nyngan were bowled out for 190.
Watmore was hugely impressive in the Dubbo attack which featured no bowler over the age of 20.
The Rugby opening bowler finished with 3-25 from nine overs while Woodrow (2-37) and Josh Thompson, who took 2-43 on debut, also did their part.
Smith was the standout for Nyngan and made 60, while Toby Miles was the next best with 24.
