TWELVE-year-old veterans of Dubbo Christian School (DCS) have marked a milestone in its development with a visit to the playground they loved as little children.

The school's 2016 year 7 cohort includes its first intake of pre-schoolers in 2008.
The students enrolled in the pre-kindergarten education program called PREP eight years ago, happily reminisced about their first day at DCS during the playground visit on Friday.
They included Emma Tomlinson who distinctly remembered drawing pictures and wearing sneakers.
But PREP had been a "very long time ago", said the keen student of science.
Isabella Nicolson said the difference between PREP and year 7 was a growing amount of "homework".
She recalled her reluctance as a four-year-old to draw on the chalkboard on her first day at DCS.
"I kind of know everyone now and I'm not as shy," Isabella said.
Nine years of study and play at DCS has made it a home-away-from-home for the year 7 students who smile when talking about their school journey.
The trip back to the PREP playground led one student to the conclusion that it was "a lot smaller than it used to be".
In 2010 DCS introduced an early childhood program for three year olds.
Its Sheraton Road campus offers early childhood, pre-kindergarten, primary and secondary education to students from three to 18 years old.
