Munro top-scored with 68 in his side's total of 164 before taking 5-11 as Newtown Black were dismissed for 123.
The club veteran came to the crease with his side in trouble at 4-57 but ensured his team would have a defendable total.
Newtown Black were on target at one stage at 4-95 but Munro removed danger man David Brown (61) as the Tigers lost their final five wickets for just 20 runs.
Craig and Mitchell Rosenbaum also chipped in with two wickets each for Rugby Red.

RSL-Colts boosted their chances of a top five spot on Saturday with a hard-fought win over Rugby Blue.
The match was a high-scoring thriller, with Colts making 7-249 from their 40 overs before Rugby Blue fell just 17 runs short of their target.
The majority of Colts batsmen impressed, but it was Wayne Cole who led the way and set up the win.
He scored 83 opening the batting while Pat Cuskelly chipped in late and made 52 not out.
Matt Naden (2-43) was the only multiple wicket-taker for Rugby Blue and he and Ayrton Holland (46) then got the run chase off to a good start.
But no one could make the big score required as all Colts bowlers did their part.

Fred Walford played a starring role for South Dubbo Green at Lady Cutler South 3, hitting an unbeaten 66 to lead his side to victory.
A final wicket partnership of 44 runs between Eric Woolnough (36 not out) and Mike Jeffrey (19 not out) had earlier got Newtown Gold to 9-164 from their 40 overs.
Tom Mitchell (3-17) and Daniel Kennedy (2-17) were the pick of the South Dubbo Green bowlers.
The run chase was in real trouble when the Green Hornets were reduced to 6-66, thanks largely to Sam Whalan's 3-19.
Walford and Tim Morris combined to get things back on track and together they saw it out, with Walford finishing on a hard-hitting 66 not out while Morris was a handy sidekick and made 28 not out.

CYMS recorded their fifth win of the season with a 57-run victory over RSL-Colts YD.
Joe Jackson set up the win, making 82 not out from number three as the Cougars amassed 6-183 from their 40 overs.
Sam and Peter Bass combined to be the best of the YD bowlers, each taking two wickets.
Colts YD showed some positive signs in the run chase but they were always up against it as CYMS worked together through the likes of Brian Carroll (2-11), Sam Knaggs (2-11), Craig Giffin (2-26) and Brody Parkinson (2-30).
The win moves the Cougars further clear of the last-placed YD side.

Macquarie kept alive their faint hope of finals cricket with a 24-run win over South Dubbo Gold.
Skipper Ray Cusack led from the front as the Blues batted out their 40 overs, something they've struggled to do recently, and made 7-197.
The Dwarte duo of Scott and Connor took four wickets between them.
The Gold Hornets were making strong progress in their run chase but the Blues kept things tight and three late wickets from Ben Walker (3-40) ensured they claimed victory.
Kobe Rapley was valiant in defeat, scoring 53 not out for his side.
