Designed by Beyond Blue, the SenseAbility Essential Skills Course will run across six weeks, starting February 1.
Headspace Dubbo provisional psychologist Jess Woodley said topics from time management to helpful thinking would be covered in the free course.
"Although we can't control the events in our lives, we can control how we think about them," Ms Woodley said.
"If you're able to deal with your thoughts and emotions now you're less likely to have mental health concerns down the track."
The course will run from 4 to 5pm and is open to anyone aged between 12 to 25-years-old.
"It's not just for people who feel like things aren't going well for them now, it's for anyone trying to cope with their life," Ms Woodley said.
She said the learning was interactive, including videos, discussions and recommended readings.
"It's about building the skills and seeing how they work for you. It's not going to be the same for everyone.
"You're not going to come here and have to share what's going on with your life."
Ms Woodley said she was happy to provide more information on the SenseAbility course to anyone who wanted it, or those who wanted to book their place could do so by calling (02) 5852 1900.
