In the minor division Elaine Pearson defeated Beth Bradford. Beth is reasonably new to the game and will be a force to be reckoned with next year.
In the major division Pat Carlow had a comfortable win over Barbara Reynolds.
Pam Dean proved too strong for Lois Adams, but Lois will definitely be out for revenge next year.
Barbara Barrett pulled out her best bowls to defeat Pat Ryan. Pat also has a long memory and will be out to win this event next year.
We can also report that on Wednesday September 18 two games were played in the Consistency Championships and Barbara Barrett had a comfortable win over Pam Dean while Pat Carlow was on fire when she defeated Kath Corke.
Also played on the day was the final of the Minor Consistency Championship, contested by Elaine Pearson and Joan Hogan. Elaine had her work cut out against the consistent draw bowls of Joan, but Elaine managed to run away with a win. Congratulations to Elaine and a warning to all to watch out for Joan in this event next year.
In social results, Wendy Willis, Ailsa Farrell and Marion Trethowan were clear winners over Wendy Willis (playing swinging lead), Pam Price and Ros Joseph. Jeanette Hartin and Colleen Medley combined well to defeat Betty Cosier and Pat Ryan.
On Tuesday September 18 President Gloria took two teams of fours to Narromine to help celebrate their clubs 60th birthday. All who were lucky enough to attend had a wonderful day and, as always, the Narromine ladies did an outstanding job in hosting their special event.
Last Sunday the mixed bowlers held a special fun day and a great time was had by all.
