The lead guitarist of the group that is still making its mark on the music industry 40 years on says there will be all of their best known songs and a couple of new tracks as well.
The Angels are coming to Dubbo as part of the Red Hot Summer Tour, which will also feature Australian rock royalty Jimmy Barnes, Noiseworks, Mark Seymour and the Undertow, and the Badloves.
Brewster was enthusiastic about the line-up and said The Angels had done many shows with Jimmy Barnes over the years, firstly in his time fronting Cold Chisel and then as a soloist.
Brewster and brother John co-founded The Angels in 1974 and had no idea of the impact it would have on their lives.
"We always thought, five maybe 10 years and then we'd be doing something else," Brewster said.
"I studied ag science, so I thought maybe I would have a career in ag science."
But they pumped out hit after hit, including Long Line, Marseille, Be With You and After the Rain, and toured extensively, including "quite a few times" to Dubbo over the years.
There's no sign of the pace slowing.
"It's been a huge year this year and it's shaping up to be the same next year," Brewster said.
"One of the highlights was the Sweden Rock Festival.
"It came out of the blue and was a great experience, 130,000 people."
The veteran performer said it spurred them on and reported their fans now included people who weren't even born when the band formed.
"We've picked up new audiences consistently throughout our career," Brewster said.
"It's one of those things where our audiences have grown with us.
"We often see parents and their sons and daughters who have reached the age where they can go to a gig."
Red Hot Summer Tour promoter Duane McDonald said the 2016 festival would be huge, with 15 shows booked.
"We always receive requests from audiences in regional areas to bring the tour through to their town," he said.
The Red Hot Summer Tour will play at Lazy River Estate at Dubbo on March 12 and tickets are available from Ticketmaster on 136 100 or www.ticketmaster.com.au or from the Dubbo Visitor Information Centre on 6801 4450.
