Benjamin James Fuller, 28, faced four drug supply charges when he appeared before Magistrate Andrew Eckhold via audiovisual link from Wellington Correctional Centre.
The court heard Fuller was allegedly involved in the supply of crystal methamphetamine (commonly known as ice) on specific dates during May and June.
All charges were adjourned to September 19.
There was no application for bail, which was formally refused by the court.
Co-accused Megan Veech, 25, of Wellington, made a separate appearance before Magistrate Eckhold.
She did not enter pleas to three charges of possessing and supplying methamphetamine.
Police allege Veech knowingly supplied methamphetamine for financial and material reward.
Bail was continued. All charges were adjourned to September 19.
