The Little Big Dairy Co., Saddler & Co. and Dubbo Town and Country Tours (DTCT) each received a $10,000 Orana Mutual account along with a $3,000 business coaching package from Business DNA.
The recipients were announced this week at the Dubbo Chamber of Commerce and Industry's final breakfast for 2015.
Dubbo City Council economic development officer Josie Howard said the winners were chosen because the independent judges "deemed those projects to be viable and provide an economic benefit."
Little Big Dairy's Emma Elliott said the business will use the grant to boost its on-site coolroom storage space, which will eliminate double handling of stock and boost efficiency.
"To keep servicing and increasing our product range we will increase business, boost production and efficiency, and being busier, that means more work, more jobs," Mrs Elliott said.
"It means we can start growing again."
The man behind Saddler & Co., Bede Aldridge, said the grant will allow the business to make the big move into a commercial shop front.
"It means that we'll be able to step up to that next level," Mr Aldridge said.
"We feel like it will increase our business exposure and accessibility."
Dubbo Town and Country Tours (DTCT) owner Bronwyn Powell was absent from the breakfast, but said the grant would allow her to boost DTCTs brand awareness and exposure through social media.
Now at the end of its third year, the Your Dubbo program attracted 89 participants to its business workshops, and received 25 strong grant applications.
"The grant component...creates an opportunity for businesses to not only apply for funding and coaching, but also to identify projects to grow their business, which in itself is a valuable insight for their own future business planning," Dubo mayor Mathew Dickerson said.
"I think we've had some really great applications and these businesses are just a great representation of innovation in the city," Ms Howard said.
"They are a great example of how you can do business in Dubbo."
