Dubbo MP Troy Grant was on hand for Redkite's Christmas Card Donation campaign launch this week.
He was among the first local residents to buy some of the $2 Christmas cards and add them to an in-store wall display that Redkite's Rachelle Peterson-Rose described as "a visual show of support".
Since Australia Day 2013, Coles Dubbo had raised more than $3400 for Redkite though its fundraisers, helping the organisation to a nationwide total of $15.5 million in that period.
Coles is also donating five cents from every loaf of its Smart Buy and Coles brand bread towards Redkite's essential services.
As a result of this fundraising, Redkite was able to offer support to young cancer patients and their families in the form of financial assistance, information and counselling services, when they needed it the most.
Every six hours a family was told their child had cancer, and for more than 30 years, Redkite had provided the essentials to these young people from the moment of diagnosis, through long treatment periods and when they returned home.
Mr Grant said Christmas was an ideal time to think of those in need and it presented the perfect opportunity for Dubbo residents to help out.
"Redkite has done a terrific job for a many years and thank you also to Coles for their support," he said.
This year's campaign will run until December 29.
