On display at Monday night's Dubbo City Council meeting were Dubbo mayor Mathew Dickerson, Ben Shields, Greg Mohr, Bill Kelly, Kevin Parker and mo sistas Lyn Griffiths and Tina Reynolds who are all taking part in Movember.
Allan Smith, who has had a mo since he was 19, is also taking part however was absent on Monday night.
All eight are participating in Movember and while they are all having great fun and a laugh at themselves for doing it, they have all highlighted the serious cause behind the annual initiative.
"I hope we have a good result with our Movember," Ms Griffiths said.
"We've got to do some silly things like draw a moustache on our face or in the case of the males grow a moustache and it's all for a very worthy cause.
"I hope that we do well and that all the suffering you have to go through with itchy mos and the rest of it is worth it."
Ms Griffiths highlighted some of the terrible statistics surrounding men's health as why Movember and things that increase the awareness of disease that affect men as being so important.
"I did read somewhere suicide is one of the biggest killers in males between the ages of 18 and 45," she said.
"That's especially true out here where we have a problem with depression, not only in our male population but in our population in general.
"I do believe it's very good that we are bringing to the forefront problems males face because males are loathe to go to the doctor and are very resistant in coming forward to talk about their emotions. "This deals with mental issues and also male health problems specifically prostate cancer.
