IT is fair to say Golden West Holden fleet and government manager Neil Ashdown has seen a lot of change since he joined the business in 1992.

Back then people mainly came in the front gate, had a chat with a member of the sales team, went for a test drive and made their decision about which vehicle they wanted to buy.
Nowadays people can do a lot of their research in advance online, and Mr Ashdown has organised many deals over the phone with customers who only have to come into the car yard to pick up their new vehicle.
Despite the changes during the past 24 years, Mr Ashdown is having just as much fun now as he did when he started in the industry.
"I first got into car sales for the challenge and to try something different," he said.
"I really enjoyed it right from the start and the first 12 months I was here felt like only three months.
"The thing that gives me the most enjoyment is dealing with repeat customers.
"I have sold some people several cars over the years I have worked here and you know they are happy with everything as they keep coming back.
"They refer people to come in and see you and that is very satisfying."
For Mr Ashdown, the Holden Monaro was the favourite car he had sold.
"The Monaros were a bit of a personal favourite," he said.
"They had a bit of an aura about them.
"But the new technology in cars these days is great with the cameras, park assist and sensors."
